Tablet and camera mount for the BMW X5 (G05)

Batten clips into the factory luggage-net points in the roof lining of the BMW X5 (G05) to carry cameras, facing forward through the windscreen or back over the seats. Tablets for the rear seats need points behind the front seats, which we haven't confirmed on this car yet. No drilling, and nothing clamped to the headrests.

The X5 and its roof points

BMW's X5 manuals describe the net fitting retainers on each side of the roof, under sliding covers in the headliner. Some X5s built for other markets don't have them, so check yours.

Does your car have the points?

Look for sliding covers in the headliner on each side, just behind the rear seats. BMW's partition net fits retainers under them. Some cars built for markets outside the UK don't have them.
