Batten for BMW
Tablet and camera mount for the BMW X3 (G45)
Batten clips into the factory luggage-net points in the roof lining of the BMW X3 (G45) to carry cameras, facing forward through the windscreen or back over the seats. Tablets for the rear seats need points behind the front seats, which we haven't confirmed on this car yet. No drilling, and nothing clamped to the headrests.
What it can carry
- FamilyA tablet or two for the rear seats, from the points behind the front seatsTo be confirmed
- MotorsportAn onboard camera for track days and sprintsYes
- FilmCameras facing forward through the windscreen or back over the seatsYes
The X3 and its roof points
BMW's manuals for the X3 describe the net's rods fitting retainers under covers in the headliner. The G45 is the newest X3, so we're confirming it keeps them.
Does your car have the points?
Look for sliding covers in the headliner on each side, just behind the rear seats. BMW's partition net fits retainers under them. Some cars built for markets outside the UK don't have them.

Typical layout. Yours may look slightly different.
