Batten for BMW
Tablet and camera mount for the BMW 3 Series Touring and M3 Touring (G21)
Batten clips into the factory luggage-net points in the roof lining of the BMW 3 Series Touring and M3 Touring (G21) to carry cameras, facing forward through the windscreen or back over the seats. Tablets for the rear seats need points behind the front seats, which we haven't confirmed on this car yet. No drilling, and nothing clamped to the headrests.
What it can carry
- FamilyA tablet or two for the rear seats, from the points behind the front seatsTo be confirmed
- MotorsportAn onboard camera for track days and sprintsYes
- FilmCameras facing forward through the windscreen or back over the seatsYes
The 3 Series Touring and M3 Touring and its roof points
BMW's genuine partition net for the G21 uses the same kind of top fitting as the nets on the other cars here, so roof points are very likely. The M3 Touring shares the body, which makes it a natural fit for onboard cameras. We haven't confirmed the points on a car yet.
Does your car have the points?
Look for sliding covers in the headliner on each side, just behind the rear seats. BMW's partition net fits retainers under them. Some cars built for markets outside the UK don't have them.

Typical layout. Yours may look slightly different.
