Batten clips into the factory luggage-net points in the roof lining of the Porsche Cayenne (E3) to carry cameras, facing forward through the windscreen or back over the seats. Tablets for the rear seats need points behind the front seats, which we haven't confirmed on this car yet. No drilling, and nothing clamped to the headrests.

The Cayenne and its roof points

Porsche lists the Cayenne's luggage net as needing its net partition option, code P3CX. We haven't seen the roof anchors on a car yet, or confirmed a position behind the front seats.

On this car the roof points may only be fitted when the factory luggage net was ordered. Check for them before you rely on a Batten.

Does your car have the points?

Look for anchor points in the roof lining, just behind the rear seats and just behind the front seats. They may be open slots or sit under a small cap. On many Porsches they only come with the net partition option, code 3CX, which is listed on the car's equipment list.

Where to look: on the roof lining, just behind the front seats and just behind the rear seats, one on each side.

Some cars hide the point under a small trim cap. On many, including most VW Group cars, there's no cap and the slot is just visible.
